I read a book The 5 second rule by Mel Robbins and literally got myself acting on its wisdom. The book is about taking actions. I have personally struggled with procrastination. Procrastination is a habit we adopt overtime and the only way to break a pattern is to replace it with a power habit-The 5 second rule

Mel Robbins talks about the 5 second rule that was inspired after seeing a rocket launching. The famous 5 second countdown happened and the next thing was smoke filled screen and a launched shuttle. The wisdom was to always launch herself like a rocket and move so fast so that she wouldn't have time to talk herself out.

There is a powerful story on the power of taking action in the Bible. This is the story of Rahab and the 2 spies(Joshua 2).Rahab’s remarkable story of actionable faith happened when she tied the chord of scarlet thread IMMEDIATELY she lowered the 2 spies down the roof. At this point, she didn’t know how long the Israelites would have taken before attacking Jericho. It would have taken days even months or eons yet she acted with a SENSE OF URGENCY. She launched herself like a rocket.

Now let’s take out your bucket list - your actions for this year. Those things you’ve been thinking of doing, places you want to visit, relationships you want to rebuild, health programs you want to sign up for, the toastmasters program you planned to attend, the friend you wanted to call, the skills you want to learn etc. What are you going to do about it? Here is what you will do in 5,4,3,2,1 launch your dreams.
